brandon brown is a writer. They primarily write speculative fiction with an interest in shifting climates and bodies. For some years, they have been very focused on stories about a strange, small town called Brittle. They have an MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts—what they call their "MFA in strange stories."

While brandon was in grad school, worldbuilding was the central focus of their critical work—not only how it is deployed in speculative, fantasy, and science fiction work, but its unspoken importance in a variety of cultural objects. For now, Brittle Almanac is a space for brandon to continue digging into worldbuilding and how it might be used to imagine liberated futures.
